A day after India secured an emphatic win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup, Virat Kohli and the Indian team were in a mood to ditch their kit bags and don their tuxedos as they attended an event hosted by The Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Sunday evening.

The team looked in good spirits at the event after notching up an impressive 5-wicket victory over Pakistan a day earlier. And Virat Kohli once again proved to be the star of the show as he brought his singing talents to the event.

A day after he scored a vital 49 to blow Pakistan away on Saturday, Virat Kohli switched the bat for the mic and sang the famous Lata Mangeshkar song “Jo waada kiya woh nibhaana padega” from the movie ‘Taj Mahal’, to the delight of those gathered for the high-profile event.

Few can argue about this on-field exploits, but who knew his musical talents also matched his cricketing feats. The Indian star batsman shared a video of his musical performance at the Indian High Commission event in Dhaka on Sunday.

Kohli was seen sharing the stage with Bangladeshi singer Fahmida Nabi and the two of them sang the famous Lata Mangeshkar song. But it wasn’t just Kohli who was keen to let his hair down after two consecutive victories agaisnt Bangladesh and Pakistan. Suresh Raina and Sanjay Bangar both wooed the guests with their musical prowess.

MS Dhoni’s team are in a commanding position to reach the final of the Asia Cup T20 after taking the tournament by storm with back to back wins. Team India will look to switch focus from music to cricket now as they take on an underperforming Sri Lanka on Tuesday before wrapping up their round-robin matches with a tie against UAE on Thursday.
