However later on Monday afternoon, Vikrant Gupta posted another tweet where he claimed, “About last night, nothing happened to @wasimakramlive n nobody even touched him. 1 drunkard created scene seeing live cameras for attention”

After some moment, Wasim Akram also tweeted through his official twitter account, “The incident that took place in Mumbai was not directed at me and has since been professionally dealt with. Thank you for all your concern.”

Earlier in the Sunday evening, Wasim Akram was disheartened on hearing about the Lahore blast, which happened in the early evening. He tweeted, “Due to this merciless attack in my country, I have ceased all work commitments tonight. My heart is with my hometown. Stay strong #Lahore”
