Suresh Raina has been chosen to lead the Indian team on the tour of Bangladesh. The three ODIs are scheduled for 15, 17 and 19 June. India is not sending a full strength team with MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar being rested. The team would be hoping that the younger players can stand up and be counted.

After landing in Kolkata on Thursday evening, Raina said, “Koi pressure nahin… Enjoy karenge…(no pressure, we wll enjoy) It’s an excellent opportunity for all the players.”

“I intend doing a bit of gym,” he said after his delayed flight from New Zealand and getting stuck in a traffic jam on the way from the airport. Raina also said that he intends to meet Saurav Ganguly the city.

After the IPL commitments, Raina took a much needed break and spent time with his family. “We travelled across Kashmir and even visited the LOC… I needed time off and it has refreshed me.”

On the secret for success the ODIs, the 27-year-old believes that success lies in one’s attitude. He said, “Playing with commitment, being disciplined and playing with passion… Josh rehna zaroori hai.”

If Suresh Raina can do well as a captain, it will provide the Indian team with a viable option in the future.
