Afghanistan vs Hong Kong

The in-form team Afghanistan will play against Hong Kong on Thursday at Nagpur in the Round 1 competition of ICC World T20 2016. After winning the first match of the Round 1 competition, Afghanistan is currently on top of the Group A. On the other hand, Hong Kong is currently at no.3 in the Group A after suffering a defeat in their first game.

Afghanistan is right on the track as they snatched victory by 14 runs in their first game of the tournament (Round 1) against Scotland. On the other hand, Hong Kong received a defeat by 14 runs against Zimbabwe in their first game of the tournament (Round 1) and looking for a crucial win against Afghanistan.

Afghanistan team is currently in great form as they won 5 out of 6 T20I matches in this year. Their opening batsman Mohammad Shahzad is recently in great form as he was player of the match in the Scotland game after scoring 61 runs. Another top-order batsman Asghar Stanikzai is recently in an impressive form in T20I. On the other hand, they have world-class pacers in their bowling line-up while their spinners played a crucial role in the Scotland match.

After suffering a defeat against Zimbabwe, the next two matches are going to be a must-win for Hong Kong. In ICC WT20 2014, Hong Kong had stunned the cricketing world by beating Bangladesh in their home ground. In the present team, they have some good players as Mark Chapman, Jamie Atkinson, Babar Hayat, and former Australian cricketer Ryan Campbell. But as a team, they are not so experienced in the international cricket.

In the recent competition, Afghanistan achieved a win against Hong Kong by 66 runs in the 2016 Asia Cup Qualifiers match. According to the head-to-head competition, both teams have won 2 T20Is each in 4 T20I clashes. So it looks like, the match will not be easy for Afghanistan as Hong Kong will fight to stay alive.
