Pakistan’s batting stalwart Younis Khan wishes that international cricket returns to his country soon as it’s a great feeling for each Pakistan cricketer to do well in front of the home crowd.

Pakistan have been forced to play international cricket at UAE since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in 2009.

And Younis Khan expressed that he missed the home crowd during his sequence of big scores against Australia and New Zealand.

He said:

“It would have been fantastic had all this happened in Pakistan before my own people.

“It’s always a good feeling playing before your home crowd as I did in 2004 against India, then in the next two years so I wish it could happen again in Pakistan before my own people.

Younis is optimistic that the efforts the board is making to bring cricket back to Pakistan will pay off and wishes that each country will come to play in Pakistan again.

I wish teams like India, Australia and England come to Pakistan, our people are able to watch the game again and we are doing efforts to bring the game back to Pakistan and I am sure it will happen.
