India pacer Zaheer Khan has stated in an interview that he is aiming to make a comeback in the Indian team before the 2015 World Cup. Zaheer, while speaking to a local news channel said that he is preparing himself ready for the upcoming domestic season through which he is aiming for a National call-up.
Zaheer who is raring to go after completing his rehabilitation for the shoulder injury he suffered during the IPL because of which he missed the tour to England. His rehab might have taken a longer time than expected, but he is confident that he will be a part of the Indian team soon. Zaheer praised young pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami for their performance in England.
The soon to be 36 year old left arm pacer has taken 311 wickets in 92 tests and 282 wickets in ODI’s in his International career that began in 2000. He last played for India in the tests against New Zealand in early 2014. He was the leading wicket taker in the 2011 World Cup with 21 scalps.
Zaheer has been included in the 28-member strong Mumbai probables for the upcoming season in four-day as well as one day formats of the game.
