Manchester United and Liverpool will have to continue searching for different striker options as Domenico Berardi has agrred to join Juventus next summer. This after his agent Simone Seghedoni confirmed the news while speaking to Calcio Mercato. Agent went on to acknowledge the interest from both Manchester United and Liverpool for his client, however, the 21-year old striker has made up his mood to join Juventus.
Berardi, 21 currently plays for the Serie A club Sassuolo and has been developing rapidly. He has already scored 44 career goals att he age of 21. Juvnetus were quicker than everyone else to spot his abilities and they signed him on a co-owership deal back in 2012. However, Sassuolo signed player’s rights in early 2013 with Simone Zaza heading to Turin.
2 years on and every European club is tracking Berardi’s progress including Jurgen Klopp, who was scouting him since his Dortmund age and now wanted to bring him at Liverpool. Same was the case with Manchester United, who wanted to sign the 21-year striker to add some strike force at Old Trafford. However, all those plans have come to rest after player’s agent confirmed of the move in an interview.
Berardi’s agent said: “Domenico won’t move to Juventus in January. Juventus have a verbal agreement with Sassuolo over a June move, but we’re not thinking about it at the moment, there’s a lot of time between now and the summer. I can categorically exclude any departure in the coming transfer window. He won’t move till June, according to a plan he’s already agreed with the club.”
