Carlo Ancelotti must have fond memories of the Premier League, winning it with Chelsea in the 09/10 season and smashing records along the way, snatching the FA Cup and the Community Shield along in a couple of seasons. It is hence, no surprise that he wants to return to this league albeit, admitting interest in managing the Red Devils of Manchester.
At a time when Louis van Gaal is being criticised for extremely insipid and boring play by even the United fans, it invokes no surprise that Ancelotti is already being pined for by Manchester United fans. With a fast and extremely attacking setup, he is one of the most pleasing managers for the eyes and has tasted success in every club he has managed. A league winner in Italy, England and France along with multiple Champions League titles, he is rightly placed among the elites.
He told the Independent, “Of course, for every manager, they would all think of managing Manchester United,”
“But I have no regrets about staying at Real because I really enjoyed Madrid. I would like to come back in a club with a good project, but, of course, one that is competitive. When I went to PSG, it was a club with a really good project. They were not a club with a tradition like Milan or Madrid, but they wanted to grow and are still on this path now.”
“But, the Premier League is the best in the sense of atmosphere, ambience. It is also competitive, so I would like to come back, especially for the atmosphere.”
His main target seems to be taking over a club in the summer, with him stating, “I will continue to wait. If I don’t find a club with a good project, I can wait.”
“What will I do? Watching games, fishing, all these things. But let us see next summer. I will not take a job in mid-season, but I would like to work again next summer.”
