Having taken 4 points from games against Liverpool and Arsenal in the last two rounds, Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are now running away with the Premier League title, opening a 9 point gap at the top of the table over Tottenham Hotspur in the 2nd place.
The manager will be relatively happy with his team’s performances in recent games but having not bought a player in the winter transfer window, Conte is now determined to improve the squad in the summer.
The Blues have been linked with a move for a number of star players even after the deadline day and if some of the rumors are to be believed, Chelsea, can become impossible to beat in a year’s time.
And one of many such names that is doing the rounds today is Argentine star Paulo Dybala.
Having risen to the fore with his terrific displays for Palermo is the Serie A, Dybala, earned himself a call up to the Champions of Italy last summer and he has ever since grown on to become one of the most exciting stars in the world of football.
He is an in-demand star and Juventus are not ready to sell but Chelsea’s Antonio Conte is now desperate to get him to the Bridge.
The Chelsea manager, who has been relentless in the Premier League, took a day-off on Sunday, after Chelsea’s victory over Arsenal and headed to Turin, to watch his former club take on Inter Milan in the Derby d’Italia.
The Old Lady ran away with a 1-0 victory, inching closer to their 6th consecutive league title in Italy as Juan Cuadrado, a Chelsea loanee, came up with the only goal of the game.
Conte was present in the stands during the game and though it was initially reported as a personal trip, it is now understood that he had his eyes on one of the star player from his old club.
With Cuadrado not interested in playing England, it is now understood that Conte was in Italy to get a close look Dybala on the night.
Reports even suggest that Conte left the game as soon as Dybala was subbed, making this rumor all the more interesting.
Chelsea are set to lose Diego Costa who wants to move away from the club at the end of the season and though Chelsea are eyeing a move for Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata in the summer, Conte might have now changed his mind and is reportedly desperate for the Argentine from his former club.
However, Juventus are not too bothered about this interest from Chelsea and are confident of keeping the 23-year old at the club for a longer time.
