The German playmaker has really flourishing in English football, enjoying an extraordinary season with 12 incredible assists and two goals in the Premier League so far.

Football Insider claims despite Arsene Wenger claiming that the North Londoners will not initiate any contract talks with Arsenal’s first-team players until the new year but, behind the scenes, both parties have already started to succeed a new lucrative deal. It is understood that the discussions are centred on a five-and-a-half-year contract that will run until 2021 and will be worth £51.5m.

There are a number of top clubs keeping an eye on the situation, with both Bayern Munich and Turkish side Fenerbahce interested in the players services.
