According to latest reports, Arsenal’s primary transfer target and FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez might make a move to their rivals Manchester United or Chelsea.
Jackson Martinez has had another spectacular season with FC Porto as he managed to score 32 gaols for the Portugese outfit in just 42 apearences in all competitions this season. The 28-year old yet again finished as Premiera Liga top scorer this season.
The player’s agent Jorge Mendes wants to seal a move to either Manchester United or Chelsea. Earlier reports suggested that Arsenal are in pole position to sign the Colombian striker as they are ready to activate his release clause which is worth around €35m.
The news would come as a huge blow to both Arsene Wenger and Gunners as they are looking for a top-class striker next eason which would make them genuine contenders for premier League title.
Reports from Portugal suggest that Mendes wants to derail the move to Arsenal as he is looking for a potential move to Manchester United or Chelsea. Manchester United are looking for a quality striker with van Persie and Chicharito expected to leave Old trafford this summer.
Chelsea are looking to add a quality striker to their ranks as Didier Drogba will leave the Blues this summer and Jackson Martinez would be agreat option to sign.
