Real Manager Rafael Benitez has once again clarified that David De Gea to Real Madrid might not materialise this summer. The Spanish goalkeeper who had a fantabulous season with the Red Devils last time was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this season. The Los Blancos were keen on signing the cusotdian and accordingly released club legend Iker Casillas. But things changed since last month as Manchester United were adamant on keeping their goalkeeper.

United wanted Real’s defender Sergio Ramos in exchange and quite naturaly the La Liga giants did not agree.

David De Gea had joined United for their pre-season tour to USA and also played matches for the side.

Ahead of Audi Cup 2015, Benitez took up the microphone to address the media in a press conference. He was asked about De Ge deal to which he repsonded, “I have said in five press conferences that I don’t want to talk about players who are at other clubs. We have three very good goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Casilla…. I can talk about my goalkeepers but not those who play elsewhere.”

Real Madrid signed Kiko Casilla this season from Espanyol after Iker Casillas left. Costa Rican international Keylor Navas who had joined the club last summer has so far did a commendable job as the first choice keeper and Benitez is looking forward to Navas’ performances.

He has full faith on Navas and might not sign De Gea this time. The Spanish manger’s comments have added a new angle to David De Gea transfer saga.
