Watford is currently 10th in the Premier League. The club has shown decent performance in the league with star striker Odion Ighalo tasting fame, this season. Ighalo has been phenomenal until now and proved to be a promising striker. The Nigerian has a pass success rate of 74.5% in the Premier League this season. With 9 goals in 14 games, Ighalo has been miraculous and is rated very high. Counted among one of the best forwards this season, Ighalo has gained interest from several top clubs for a January transfer deal. Reports claim that Watford are aware of big clubs showing heed in sealing a deal for the 26 year old player.
However, Ighalo isn’t the only one. The other Watford player who is being targeted is Troy Deeney. The club has stated that same is the case with Deeney, just like Ighalo’s. But Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores says they’re calm about any impending situation.
“Anything can happen in football. You must be prepared for anything, but I know a little bit about how the players are thinking. I respect that Odion is completely passionate about this club. He is an intelligent person. And Troy is one of the main players in the spirit of the dressing room.
“To consider an offer is not just the point of the manager. Of course, we are talking about the general market every week with the owner and the sporting directors. But now we are focused on the matches.”
The Hornets will face Sunderland on the 12th of December for their next PL clash.
