The Bastian Schweinsteiger saga at Manchester United has taken a new turn as reports in Germany of the star staying at Old Trafford this summer is doing the rounds.
The Germany international was expected to leave United before the end of the transfer window but according to reports in German outlet Sport1, the former Bayern Munich is all set to remain at United this summer despite not being in United boss Jose Mourinho’s plans.
The Germany legend, who was signed by the Red Devils when Louis Van Gaal was in charge, has fallen out of favour with Mourinho, who is trying to make United a dominating force once again. Schweinsteiger has not featured in a single game for the English giants ever since the Portuguese took charge and a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain or either of the Milan clubs was speculated. In fact, there were rumours that the player’s representatives were all set to hold a talk with the club about the former German skipper’s departure this week.
Well, it will be really interesting to see his role at the club as the season progresses.
