Chelsea are reportedly considering to make a move for Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini. The Sun reports that the defender presently tops the wishlist of his former boss Antonio Conte who is currently in charge of the English club.

With just four senior defenders at their disposal as Kurt Zouma works towards a return from injury, Chelsea are facing a crisis at the backline and the Blues’ boss Antonio Conte is desperate to add another centre-back to his squad.

Napoli central defender Kalidou Koulibaly remains high on the Italian’s wishlist but their £60m valuation has led the Italian to look at alternative options and Chiellini has now emerged as the top target.

Serie A champions, Juventus have already lost one of their stars, Paul Pogba, who was signed by Manchester United and they are desperate to keep Chiellini at Turin.
