Chelsea’s Patrick Bamford is all set to join Premier League rivals Burnley on a season-long deal on Friday (August 26).
The 22-year-old endured a frustrating 12 months with Crystal Palace and Norwich City last season during which he made only two Premier League starts and is desperate to resume the action and play as much as possible.
The highly-rated striker was also strongly linked with several Championship clubs, including Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers, and Fulham. However, it seems that the striker is keen to ply his trade for a Premier League club and hopes to be given more opportunities under Sean Dyche to prove he can play at the elite level.
Bamford, who joined Chelsea from Nottingham Forest in 2012, has a little under two years remaining on his contract. He has still not played in the Chelsea senior team and has been loaned out to MK Dons, Derby, Middlesbrough, Palace, Norwich and now Burnley over the past four seasons.
