According to latest reports, Chelsea are preparing to launch a £22.1million bid to sign Atletico Madrid’s mid-fielder Koke.

The Spaniard is one of the finest players in La Liga and have caught the eyes of Chelsea’s scouts in the recent mmonths due to his stellar performance. Jose Mourinho is considering his transfer targets for 2015/16 season as he is trying to strengthen the Chelsea side for Champions League.

Koke who has also drawn interest from Old Trafford remains one of the key players for Atletico Madrid and his development over the last couple of seasons have been tremendous in which Atletico were able to clinch La Liga and reached Champions League final.

With a dip in form of Cesc Fabregas, Mourinho is considering to make a move for a talented mid-fielder and strengthen the central mid-field to disallow any sort of voids left in the team for the next season.

Koke have made 25 appearances for Atletico Madrid this season. He has scored 2 goals and assisted 9 goals. The midfielder rejected Barcelona last summer but has long been set to join of Europe’s elite.
