With the Blues finally stabilising their ship, interim manager Guus Hiddink has reportedly been instructed by a Chelsea legend that they should bring Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge.
Lukaku went to Everton on a loan deal in 2013-14 and the very next season Everton made the deal a permanent one. And Lukaku has benefitted from the deal becoming lethal upfront on account of a regular spot in the team at Goodison Park. The Belgian has scored 13 goals in 18 games along with 4 assists. His form has attracted attention from clubs abroad and it is no wonder that Drogba would push for getting the 22 year old back as he would be the ideal replacement for the out of form Costa.
The move is also not unlikely as Chelsea are willing to pay more than what the Belgian earns at Goodsion Park and if the move comes to be this could be the best Christmas gift for the fans after the shoddy season so far. Another good news for the Chelsea supporters is the keen interest of the club in Jackson Martinez whose position at the Rojiblancos seems a bit shaky. Since his move from Porto, Martinez hasn’t quite found his touch in the League and according to news from the Atletico Siminone is willing to let go off the Columbian on a loan deal for the rest of the season. This bodes well for the Blues who are in dire need of a lethal striker to help them reach a top four finish.
