The Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Chennai Titans are in talks to bring the Brazilian star player Ronaldinho. According to a report in The Hindu, the Brazilian superstar has been approached by the Chennai team owned by Abhishek Bachchan and Inter Milan collaboration.
Ronaldinho’s agent Roberto de Assis, who is also his brother is currently negotiating the terms and it is being said that the deal is all but done in favour of Titans.
Abhishek, who represented Chennai Titans at the ISL’s official launch function in Mumbai on Thursday is looking to sign Ronaldinho for a period of two years. The Brazilian superstar is keen on a short-term contract which will keep him fir during his off-season.
An ISL stint will allow Ronaldinho to play Major League Soccer (MLS) in the USA early next year, which is his long time desire. In the previous decade, the dazzling attacker was one of the most recognised faces in world football and has played for big clubs like Barcelona and AC Milan in the past. He also won the Footballer f the year award in the 2005.
