Manchester United have been looking to strengthen their squad in all areas to challeneg for trophies on all fronts. While United have looked to spend big under Louis Van Gaal, the Dutch manager has neever backed away from giving the youth a chance at United. Likes of Paddy McNair, James Wilson and Tyler Bleckett have been a regular feature in United’s squad this season.
Continuing the same team, Manchester United have announced the signing of highly rated 16-year old Belgian Midfielder Indy Boonen. One of the most trusted jouranlists Kristof Terreur broke the news on his twitter profile.
United have been in talks to sign Booned brothers (Indy and Seppe) for a while now and have made Indy theire newest member of an already impressive youth side. Manchester United have handed Indy a 3-year contract at first, subject to renewal based on his performance during that time.
Indy Boonen is a left footed attacking midfield player who is already representing his country at youth level. Indy is tipped to follow the recent and talented lot of players to have come from Belgium.
Adnan Januzaj is another example who comes from Belgium is looking to make his mark on United’s senior side. Indy Boonen will be made to feel at home by the presence of fellow Belgians Januzaj and Fellaini.
Since his dream move to Manchester United, Indy Boonen has trained few times with his new teammates and had this to say: “It’s like a dream. the training sessions are hard, but I don’t feel the tiredness when I realize I have sifned for Manchester United”.
Old Trafford side wanted to sign Indy’s younger brother Seppe Boonen too but Seppe is only 13 right now and under the UEFA rules, United can not sign him on a contract right now. We can soon expect Seppe to join his brother Indy at Old Trafford in coming seasons.
