Liverpool’s full-back Glenn Johnson is set to run out of contract at the end of the season and is expected to leave Anfield as Liverpool have not offered him a new deal yet.
The 30-year old have drawn interest from Crystal Palace’s manager Alan Pardew. Pardew believes that former England International would strengthen the squad and will add a lot of experience to the squad.
Alen Pardew have managed to rescue Crystal Palace from relegation and are considering options to strengthen his squad and Glen Johnson being available for free at the end of the season would be a good addition as they could get him cheaply.
West Ham are also interested in the services of the defender but the hopes of signing the full back will depend on whether Sam Allardyce would continue as their manager after the season.
To add to the speculation Johnson himself have admitted that he is not sure whether he will be at Anfield for the next season as Liverpool officials have not spoken to him about a new contract. He also thinks Liverpool needs changes this summer which could see him leaving Anfield.
He said, “I haven’t got a contract so it doesn’t look as if I will be staying. We will have to see if that is going to change but I don’t think so.”
