Former Liverpool and Chelsea star Fernando Torres, who was one of the best strikers of Premier League at his peak, has told The Mirror he believes Pedro will be a success in England.

Pedro’s transfer to Manchester United is imminent and could be finalised in coming days.

Pedro scored the winner in the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla Tuesday night to make the scoreline 5-4 in favor of Barcelona which won Barcelona the trophy in a thrilling match, in what could his final game for the club.

Torres told The Mirror that Pedro’s style of football lends itself to playing in England and he would be a hit.

El Nino said: “If he decides that England is the next step in his career, I am sure he will do very well there.”

“He has all the ability you would expect from a player who has been at Barcelona for so many years, but also he has a great work ethic.”

“He works hard, he will help defend, he won’t be bullied, he has everything to succeed in the Premier League.”

Torres knows Premier League very well during his days at Liverpool and Chelsea.

For Liverpool, he was the best striker in the League and gave the defenders a hard time with his lethal goalscoring abilities.

When he joined Chelsea from Liverpool, it was a huge shock to the football world. He struggled for goals at Stamford Bridge but won UEFA Champion League with the Blues.

The Spanish iconic striker who is two time Euro Cup winner and one time World Cup winner, is currently at his boyhood club Atletico Madrid.
