SkySports confirms, Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United deal at the end of this season is still on the cards but only if the departure of current Manchester United boss takes place this summer.
Ibrahimovic is drawing serious interests from clubs in the Premier League and Chinese Super League as he will be off contract at Paris St Germain at the end of this season and is considering all of his options.
Zlatan has confirmed at a press conference that there have been offers from a few clubs in Premier League but he hasn’t made up his mind yet and will take time before considering any offer. But rumours are, Ibrahimovic is going to join United in the summer.
In Zlatan’s autobiography, I am Zlatan, published in 2011 he has mentioned about some strained relationships between his then manager Ronald Koeman at Ajax and van Gaal was at the club as technical director. With only 39 Premier League goals being scored, which is just three more than Sunderland who currently sit 18th in the table, surely there is something horribly wrong with Louis Van Gaal’s management. The Dutchman’s style of play has been criticized by many critics.
We have already seen a glimpse of immense spending power from the Chinese clubs in recent months. Now as they won’t have to pay a transfer fee to sign the Sweden international, it is reported that one club has even tabled an offer that would pay him £28m (approx 35m euros) per season. West Ham have also been linked with a move for Ibrahimovic as they prepare to move to the Olympic Stadium this season. West Ham United’s co-owner, David Sullivan, replied last month he would “love to sign” when asked about Ibrahimovic. David described him as a “fantastic player”. Though it is very likely that West Ham will not be able to compete with Chinese Super League clubs or other the EPL giants, financially they still think it is worth giving a shot.
