As per the recent reports, Louis Van Gaal was spotted during the recently concluded Holland vs Spain friendly and it has been widely speculated that Van Gaal was present for the just just to scout the Dutch sensation Memphis Depay.
Depay has been linked with £12 million summer move to Old Trafford to join Van Gaal and other United stars. Ever since Louis Van Gaal has taken over at Manchester United, the club has been linked with a whole host of players to join his United revolution but Van Gaal has chosen to stay quiet on the link-ups but it seems like Van Gaal is keen on bringing his prodigy to Manchester United.
If you recall, it was Louis Van Gaal, who handed Depay his International debut and gave him the chance to play for Holland in the 2014 World Cup and the duo are believed to be very close and a move is more than imminent, especially now with Van Gaal going and watching him personally.
BBC, ESPN and Sky have previously reported that Memphis Depay will be United’s first summer signing. Van Gaal must have had a satisfying trip back to Netherlands as Depay had a very bright game for his national side. Depay was a constant threat for Spain’s defense and he looked the ideal winger which Manchester United have been after for a while now.
Depay is tipped for greatness as he has been likened to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo and an able guidance under Van Gaal could shape his career in the best way possible. Van Gaal going and scouting Depay personally is a big hint about Manchester United’s intentions of signing the £12 million rated winger from Ajax.
