Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that his youth star Loftus-Cheek has all the credentials to be a regular feature in first team next season and Mourinho has promised to give him all the opportunities to succeed at the club.

Loftus-Cheek has played a vital role Chelsea’s Under-19 and Under-21 side’s performances and has made his senior debut for the blues in the Champions league group stage against Sporting Lisbon. Such displays have earned the starlet the praise from all around the club and is expected to play regular football next season with the blues.

Jose Mourinho has been keen on promoting youth at Chelsea in his second stint with the club and and with Loftus-Cheek, Jose looks to set an example for others to follow.

Mourinho said: “Next season, Ruben will not be a kid in the development process,”

“He will be a first-team player, absolutely ready to play and compete. And we will do the same with two or three or four players.

“Some of the older ones will go on loan to play every game in the Championship or the Premier League, even abroad,” he continued.

“And we will bring some of the younger ones into the process. But to have them all at the same time in the first-team squad is hard.

“I cannot have a squad of 10 men and 10 kids. I must have a squad like we have now of 16 or 17 seniors and three or four kids.”

Chelsea are just 2 wins away from clinching this season’s Premier League title and if Chelsea do go on to win their crown in next 2-3 weeks, we can see Loftus-Cheek play some part this season as well.
