As per the latest reports, Liverpool are ready to sign Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne this summer. The 24-year old has been in impressive form over the last season and has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United have also reportedly renewed their interest in the full back who has only one year left in his contract for Southampton. The Saints want to hold on to the player as they offered a new contract.
The English international have put contract talks on hold as he is looking to move away from Saints this summer. Liverpool has already launches a bid of £10m for Clyne but Southampton rejected the offer as they are expecting a bid around £15m for the talented defender.
Liverpool are also feared off the fact that Manchester United might renew their interest in the player after Dani Alves recently committed his future at Barcelona. The Reds need to act quick by offering a improved transfer fee to sign the defender as they look for a top-4 finish next season.
