According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are looking to sign Colombian international Carlos Bacca. The 28-year-old scored 28 goals for Sevilla last season and it is believed he would cost around £20million. Liverpool are reluctant to meet Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke £32million release clause, and are now looking at alternatives. Bacca has scored 49 goals in 108 appearances for Sevilla.
Reports in Liverpool Echo also suggest the Reds are also interested in Zenit Saint Petersburg striker Rondon, who would cost them £15million. Rondon scored 20 goals for Zenit Saint Petersburg last season, helping them to win the league.
Liverpool are also interested in signing Mancester United transfer target Roberto Firmino. The Hoffenheim midfielder is currently involved in the Copa America with Brazil. Firmino scored an absoulute stunner in training this week.
According to the Telegraph, Liverpool are also interested in signing Juventus striker Fernando Llorente. Juventus have already signed striker Mario Mandzukic, and a move away from Turin for Llorente is highly likely. Though Llorente insists he is happy at Juventus, and is set to stay.
Llorente said: “At the moment my intention is to remain at Juve.
“I have to talk to the club and see what they say to me.
“I know nothing.”
