According to the latest reports, Liverpool are interested in the services of 23-year old Swiss International Xhedran Shaqiri despite him being on loan at Inter Milan whom Inter want to sign at the end of the season.
Shaqiri could not break into starting line up at Bayern with Robben and Ribery maintaining their consistent performances even after turning over 30. This had given a little chance for the young Swiss player to prove himself at Bayern.
Bayern signed the winger from Basel but the player could only start in 26 league games over the last two years and is not a key team member for Bayern anymore. So Shaqiri chose his future at Inter Milan with Inter having buy option at the end of season.
Due to piling debts for Inter over the last few seasons, Financial Fair Play could come into place and UEFA are also considering to apply sanctions on Italian giants which could result them handing over a transfer ban.
In this case, Shaqiri needs to sign another club other than Bayern. Hence Liverpool comes into the fray where the Reds are huge admirers of the player. With his pace despite being small, Liverpool are considering a move for the winger as it will be a serious addition to their counter attacking football philosophy.
