The Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez has served his 9-match-ban after allegedly biting Giorgio Chiellini in the 2014 FIFA World Cup match against Italy, claims Goal. FIFA ruled out him from playing in next nine international matches and now he is all set to return to International arena, on the back of a string of impressive performances for Catalan giants, Barcelona.
Brazil will challenge Uruguay at the Arena Pernambuco in Recife the next month, and the historic rivalry will witness another page in its history, this time the international return of the effervescent striker.
Despite the absence of Luis Suarez Uruguay has started the World Cup qualification for 2018 brightly, winning three times in four matches and are just behind the group leaders Ecuador.
Even though Suarez has missed international action, the same cannot be said about his club career as he has hit the peak of form since last playing for Uruguay. Over the span of two years at Barcelona Suarez has scored 56 goals from 75 appearances across all competitions. Along with the impressive stat, he has been tagged as the integral part of the infamous attacking prowess of Barcelona, MSN, which include global superstars Lionel Messi and Neymar as well.
Another interesting prospect of the game against Brazil is that he will face his friend and compatriot at Barcelona, Neymar in this match. The 29-year-old Uruguayan has scored 43 goals from 82 appearances for the country.
The match was initially decided to conduct on the last week of this month, but was postponed to next month. Meanwhile Brazil started the Qualification campaign with a loss against Chile, but earned a draw against Argentina and beat Venezuela and Peru.
