Manchester United are in dire need of goals in their game and are looking at various options in the market for upgrades in this department and one such player linked with them is Sofiane Feghouli.
The Algerian winger currently plies his trade for Valencia and has refused contract extensions over the season to presumably leave on a free the coming summer. The fact that he would be joining on a free gives him many suitors and his wage demands should be met quite sufficiently.
Feghouli’s first transfer from Grenoble to Valencia had also been on the same lines as he had waited for his contract to run out before joining the Spanish outfit, a move which had angered the club hierarchy at his previous club.
Man United though are desperate and sense a bargain and are willing to offer Valencia a transfer fee for Feghouli’s services in the upcoming transfer window. With Gary Neville just instated as the manager at the club, it remains to be seen if he would want to lose an important player in the middle of a season for a minor fee or he would make the Algerian see out his contract at the club.
Among the admirers of Feghouli is the Ivory Coast legend Yaya Toure who feels that the player might be in line for greatness,
“I like as a player Feghouli. He is a super player with a very good mentality. Tomorrow he may be the great African footballer.
“I have heard that he is in his last year of contract with Valencia CF. Now it will be interesting to see how he makes the next step in his career.
“In any case, he’s a player with the skills to succeed in a major European club.”
