The transfer window is on full swing now and the tug of war between Real Madrid and Manchester United for Sergio Ramos is one the most interesting transfer stories so far.

Sergio Ramos told Real Madrid unless he was offered an improved contract by the Los Blancos, he will leave and Manchester United are frontrunners to sign him as Madrid wants De Gea.

There has been a huge turn of events like Iker Casillas leaving Real Madrid for Porto and Ramos being announced as the next captain of the 10 time European Champions and newly appointed manager Rafael Benitez stating that Ramos will not be going anywhere.

But even now, United are still interested in the World Cup winner and Ramos seems to be interested too.

The front page of Spanish newspaper Marca showed a pic of Sergio Ramos today with the headline reading: Manchester United called Ramos to declare he wants leave Real Madrid in public.”

It is very clear that Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal wants Ramos to bolster his team and Ramos also wants to join the Red Devils.

The Old Trafford side is trying to put pressure on Real Madrid to bring the 2 time Euro Cup winner to the theatre of dreams.

Although, Ramos does not want to go public about his desire to leave Santiago Bernabeu and is now waiting for a meeting with Florentino Perez.

Rafael Benitez and the players are trying their best to make Ramos feel wanted at the club but Perez can sort out the things only to an extent.

Manchester United, though, are now impatient and wants the deal to go through as soon as possible as they cannot afford missing other targets if Ramo finally does not move to Old Trafford.
