Zakaria Bakkali is one Belgian prodigy who is tipped to have a huge career in front of him. The 18 year old has caught the eye of several top European clubs ever since becoming the youngest player to have scored a hattrick in the Dutch Erdevise. Liverpool and Manchester United have been interested in the teenager for quite some time now but somehow any sort of deals have failed to materialize.

However according to English Media Outlet Daily Mail, the PSV Eindhoven winger has once again refused to enter new contract talks with his club meaning that a transfer move away from the club is imminent. The winger’s contract with the Dutch side ends in the coming summer but by the looks of it, he could well depart the club in January.

Bakkali was close to join Atletico Madrid in the summer but somehow he stayed put at Eindhoven thinking that his representatives could secure a move to Old Trafford for him. In fact Liverpool are also interested in the player while Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the current situation.

The Belgian is a product of PSV’s youth system having joined the club at 12-years-old. He broke into the first team last season and featured in 22 appearances scoring 4 goals. However he is now banished from the first team squad and is yet to play a game this season amid the difficulties surrounding his contract situation.

United are expected to enter into pre contract talks in January meaning they can sign Bakkali in the free next summer. PSV though could also push him out of the club in January for a significant price rather than losing their prized asset on a free six months later.
