The news of Memphis Depay signing for Manchester United is still sinking in for the United fans and the club has already started their move to sign another Dutch International Ron Vlaar.
Ron Vlaar is currently playing for Aston Villa and the Dutch star has been one of the most prominent and frequent names to be linked with a move to Old Trafford to sort out United’s defensive worries.
Vlaar’s contract is to expire at the end of this season and he will become a free agent in the summer and with Louis Van Gaal knowing the player personally, Vlaar could seal his switch to Man United just like Memphis Depay.
Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has admitted that Vlaar will not be signing his contract extension and he will have to lose the player on a free transfer. United are set for a 200 million summer revamp but if a player of Vlaar’s quality is signed on a free it would be a real bonus for Van Gaal and the United management.
Meanwhile, Manchester United get ready to travel away at Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace and hope to put an end to their 3-game losing streak which has put their Champions League qualification in a slight spot of bother.
