As per the latest reports, Manchester bid are planning a summer bid for Bayern Munich defender Dante. The 31-year old have drawn interest from the Red Devils earlier but Bayern Munich were able to hold on to the player.

The Brazilian International has moved to Bayern back in 2012 from Wolfsburg and has a contract till 2017 at Allianz Arena. However, life has been difficult for the 31-year old with Bavarian giants this season.

With the emergence of Boateng and a key signing of Benatia last summer meant Dante is often benched and mostly used for league games. The defender is currently below Boateng, Bentia and Badstuber (injured) in Bayern’s central defense pecking order.

The player would be a key addition to Manchester United as Mats Hummels reportedly will stay at Dortmund next season. The Brazilian will bring the much-needed experience and quality to Manchester United’s central defense.

Former Manchester United David Moyes had earlier shown their interest back in 2013, but the player opted to stay with Bayern Munich. With his priority to the first team reduced, he might opt to move to Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United have reportedly shortlisted their transfer targets as they look to win Premier League next season.
