According to reports, Manchester United are set to announce Ander Herrera signing after activating his release clause.
According to the very reliable Guillem balague, Manchester United have met his release clause of €36 million. The news was also confirmed by various media outlets including BBC, The Telegraph, Sky Sports and Marca.

Reports in Marca suggest that the player is already in England and has signed a four-year deal at Old Trafford worth around £2.4m-per-year, the deal is set to be announced later today. Ander Herrera is highly rated in Spain, the 24 year old made 33 appearances for Athletic Bilbao last season, scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists.
David Moyes tried to sign him last summer, but couldn’t finish the deal before the deadline day. Recently, Herrera in an interview claimed he has no intentions of leaving Athletic Bilbao.
“I have already made it clear, I don’t want to leave Athletic. We have a great team and we have worked really hard to get where we are. We have proven our level even without Fernando [Llorente] and Javi [Martinez]. Above all else, Athletic and I are on the same path. This is where I belong, my place is here and I am very happy.”
