26-year-old Marko Arnautovic is a winger who plays for Stoke City. He joined the English club from Werder Bremen in the month of September 2013. Ever since, he has had a good time with the squad and played a key role in the team’s current commendable form. Stoke have bounced back from enduring their worst start to a Premier League season and have lost just one of their last 10 matches. Seeing Marko’s brilliant contribution to the Potters, club manager Mark Hughes wants to retain the forward at Stoke.

Arnautovic has scored 8 goals in his spell at Stoke City, till now. In the game against Chelsea, Arnautovic scored the winner as Stoke defeated the title defenders in a match that ended 1-0. His top notch form attracts the manager to make the player stay at the club for the future glories.”I’m thinking about it (Arnautovic’s contract) and I’m sure Marko is,” the Stoke manager said. “We want him to stay.”

Arnautovic didn’t earn a good name for himself as Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho tagged him as a player with attitude. The winger was also involved in an incident where he was found over speeding his vehicle in the early hours before the game. However, the manager still speaks good of the player. ‘’I think his manner and his personality takes people aback initially, but once you get to know him he is very gregarious, he likes people and he likes being around them,” he added.

“He likes a little bit of attention, but that’s fine. All the guys love him.

“He’s not only a great character, but he’s doing well for the team and credit to him. “The two years he has had here have been good, but there is the potential to have a better year this year if he keeps continuing to play as well as he is.”

Mark Hughes is very firm on securing Arnautovic’s place at the club.
