According to Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Napoli are considering a big-money move for Chelsea’s star striker Diego Costa.
It is reported that the striker is offered to both Inter Milan and Napoli by his agent Jorge Mendes as the striker is keen to move away from Stamford Bridge this summer with a potential return of Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
New manager Conte has already signed Michy Batshuayi in a big-money move from Marseille and a return of Lukaku will leave Costa on the bench for the entire season.
Costa’s former employers Atletico Madrid were keen to sign back the striker but with the acquisition of Kevin Gameiro, the Spanish giants have stepped back in their pursuit.
Having already sold Higuain to their direct rivals Juventus, Napoli’s coach Maurizio Sarri is looking for another striker to partner new signing Arkadiusz Milik.
However, it will not be easy for the Italian giants as they need to spend a lot of money with Chelsea reportedly having already turned down a £51 million bid from Atletico Madrid.
Costa who have moved to Stamford Bridge two seasons ago have scored a mere 12 goals in 28 appearances for Chelsea last season and have fallen down in the pecking order ahead of the new season.
