Toni Kroos

Madrid, Oct 13 (IANS) German midfielder Toni Kroos has reached an agreement with Spanish football giants Real Madrid to extend his contract till June 30, 2022.

“Real Madrid FC and Toni Kroos have come to an agreement on a contract extension which will see the player linked to the club until 30 June 2022,” a statement by the club stated on Wednesday.

“Toni Kroos will speak to the media tomorrow in the press room of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium,” the statement added.

The midfielder helped Los Blanco to win the 2015-16 Champions League, the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup and the Supercopa de España in 2014 and 2016.

Kroos, who will turn 27 next month, was capped in 100 games with Real Madrid, in which he scored eight times.
