In the Club World Cup semi-final scheduled to be played in two months time on December 16 in Rabat, Morocco, Real Madrid will be decided between Mexican side Cruz Azul or the winners of the AFC (Asian Champions League), the outcome of which will be known after a two legged final between Australia’s Western Sydney Wanderers and Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal.

The draw was held at Hotel La Mamounia in Marrakech and saw the winners of the 2014/15 Champions League drawn into the semi-final where progression would take them to the final in Marrakech on December 20 where they will try to win the Club World Cup for the first time in its current format having previously won the Intercontinental Cup in 1960, 1998 and 2002.

Representing Real Madrid at the draw was the Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño along with the assistant coach Fernando Hierro.

In the other semi-final Argentine club San Lorenzo await their opponents who will be decided after the host nations representatives Atlético Tetuán play a preliminary round against Auckland who were Oceania champions and the winner going on to play the African Champions which will be decided after the final between Algerian outfit ES Setif and Congo’s AS Vita Club.
