Liverpool is in a lot of crises at the moment. Fans are displeased over manager Brendan Rodgers and want him desperately to be sacked.
Liverpool fans have seen enough of their Northern Irish manager Rodgers who has failed to deliver a single trophy to the club since taking charge at Anfield in 2012.
Rodgers took charge at Liverpool in 2012 replacing club legend Kenny Dalglish as the manager of the most decorated club in England but has nothing to show for it reaching his fourth year in charge of the Reds.
Apart from the 2013-14 season thanks to a genius of Luis Suarez in charge of Liverpool attack, Liverpool never looked like a force in England. They missed the title narrowly that season but apart from that Rodgers never finished in top four which is nowadays the prime target for fans and the owners.
Fans wanted Rodgers to be sacked at the end of last season, but the owners kept faith in the former Swansea manager. However, after the dismal start of the season winning just two of the seven games in all competitions and the fans have started raising their voices against the manager and wants him to be sacked and also wanted former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp to be succeeding him at Anfield.
Football fans and pundits also criticized the manager due to his baffling tactics and gameplay.
Meanwhile, the fans’ frustration with the manager just increased many folds with a poor performance in a penalty-shootout win over League Two side Carlisle United. They needed penalty shootouts to see off the minnows from the fourth tier of English football who possess the worst defensive record in League Two.
The poor win against Carlisle came following the poor defeats against West Ham United, Manchester United and 1-1 draws against Bordeaux and Norwich City. If you consider the win against Carlisle as a draw as it was a draw after 90 minutes, Liverpool is 5 games without a single win.
Speculations about Rodgers getting sacked flooded the internet yesterday which was very much predictable but according to Daily Mirror suggested that Liverpool owners are still allowing Rodgers more time before they make any final decisions.
They have given Rodgers 10 days to make his final attempt to save his job. In the next 10 days, Liverpool is facing Aston Villa at Anfield, Swiss side FC Sion in Europa League and will be travelling across the city to Goodison Park to play Everton in Merseyside derby.
While the fans furious with the Northern Irishman, this news only increase the frustration of the fans even more who hoped that Rodgers has done enough to be axed.
