Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn’t speak to players if the club lost to their bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield.
The Red Devils are the most successful team in England over the past 25 years while Liverpool were the most dominant team in the country prior to that. The rivalry of both the clubs go beyond football and is one of the most fiercely contested games in the world.
Being the two most successful clubs in the country, the game between the two giants always draw the eyes from across the world as Premier League has the most popular league.
Evra who had spent nine seasons with the club, having won five Premier League titles and a Champions League during his time at Old Trafford, has revealed that it is all not good times under Sir Alex Ferguson as he completely gets hurt after their loss for at least one week.
‘I hate to lose against Liverpool,’ Evra told beIN Sports.
‘When you lose at Anfield you always play on a Sunday afternoon and I promise you the rest of the week will be bad.
‘Ferguson if you lose against Liverpool you wouldn’t see him for one week. For one week he won’t shake your hand. He would be deeply hurt.’
Manchester United and Liverpool have played two exciting games this season as the result was a draw in both the clashes, as they fight for a finish in top four to move back to Champions League next season.
