Liverpool have been a rather busy club this summer making a number of top class signings to help them compete with the best in all competitions.
The manager has bought in a number of top class players that will improve different positions in the squad and will help him challenge even the best teams in the league.
However, even with all the transfers that Klopp managed to finish even before the start of the new season, he has constantly been linked with a number of top class player for a move before the deadline day this summer.
One such player who has been extensively linked with a move to Anfield recently is Croatian wonderkid Ante Coric.
The 19-year old Dinamo Zagreb midfielder was eyed as a long term addition to the squad as Klopp reportedly identified him as a player who fits into his style.
Coric has already caught the eye of a number of top clubs in Europe and is surely a star in the making. He has helped his side into the Champions League this season where they were drawn in Group H alongside Juventus, Sevilla and Lyon.
He is already an important part of the squad at Zagreb and is reportedly not making the move this summer.
According to recent reports, Liverpool are set to miss out on their target who is not ready to leave his club this summer.
Coric revealed that he was flattered by the interest from Liverpool but explained that he was happy playing at Zagreb and the he wants to help his side in Europe.
Liverpool are not in Europe this season and will not be able to provide Coric with such football at Anfield and it is understood that the player rejected a move to the club.
“I am happy such big clubs want me, but I want to play with my favourite team in the Champions League,” he said.
He also revealed that a move to Liverpool was up to him and that he was the one who did not want to leave Zagreb at such a tender age.
“It was up to me to decide, all I needed to do was a medical, but I want to stay at Dinamo, where I can give a lot more,” he added ending any chances of Liverpool getting their man this summer.
Do you think Coric should have moved to Liverpool this summer?
