Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge was one of the lowest points in Arsene Wenger’s turbulent reign with his charges simply brushed aside by Chelsea.

The Gunners are now 12 points behind the incessantly impressive league leaders and will need a dramatic capitulation from Antonio Conte’s men to give them any chance in the title race. It was one of the most pitiful performances in recent memory from a team that inspire laughter more often than fear.

The numbers behind the defeat speak volumes about some of Arsenal’s supposedly key men.

Alexis Sanchez had just 50 touches over the course of the game, didn’t manage a single shot or key pass and boasted a pass accuracy of just 77%, per WhoScored. Petr Cech, meanwhile, scored a measly 5.18 on their rating system which takes into account a number of stats. The goalkeeper’s clanger to gift Cesc Fabregas Chelsea’s third was possibly the nadir of his short time at the North London club.

Ozil and co. face Hull City next in the league in a fixture that is looking increasingly tricky as Marco Silva’s side continue to improve.
