Once again, Indian shooting contingent strikes medals at Incheon. Indian shooting trio of Abhinav Bindra, Sanjeev Rajput and Ravi Kumar win a bronze in 10m Air Rifle Men’s Team Finals before their 25 m Air Pistol compatriots repeated the feat again in their category.

First Abhinav Bindra led 10 M Air Rifle team event settled for Gold with a total score of 1863 with 135 X. India finished 4 points behond Silver medalist Korea (KIM Sangdo 626.1, KIM Hyeonjun 622.3 and  HAN Jinseop 619.2) and 23 points behind the eventual winners China (CAO Yifei 630.7, YANG Haoran 629.2, LIU Tianyou 626.5).

Abhinav shot 625.4 whereas Ravi Kumar and Sanjeev Rajput scored 618.9 and 618.7 respectively. Followed by this podium finish, the Indian men’s 25 M Air Pistol team clinched yet another Bronze medal in shooting. Indian team of Pemba Tamang, Harpreet Singh and Gurpreet Singh settled for Bronze with a final score of 851 with 19 x. Harpreet shot 290 points, followed by Gurpreet’s 284 and Tamang’s 276.

China and Korea won the Gold and Silver respectively with a total score of 875 and 874. With this two medals, India have won a Gold and 5 Bronze medals in shooting alone. Abhinav Bindra will take part in the finals of men’s 10 M Air Rifle event later today, which is also his lat day in Professional Career.
