On day seven, Tuesday, the 10th November 2015 Indians won four medals in the 13th Asian shooting championship in Kuwait. Swapnil Kusale asserted his class in the final by winning the junior men’s rifle 3-position gold, his second individual gold. Indian team bagged silver medals in the junior men in the same category and 25 M rapid Fire junior men.  India won a Bronze medal in 25M Rapid Fire Pistol for Men event also.

Swapnil Kusale struck Gold as he scored 453.3 in 50 M Rifle 3 Positions finals in junior Men’s category. This was his second gold in the championship. In the same category Indian team of Swapnil, Akhil Sheoran and Ishan Goel bagged silver medal with their combined total of 3450. Indian junior men’s team  of Shivam Shukla, Rushiraj Barot and Arjun Das totaled a combined score of 1647 to bag another silver n 25M rapid Fire junior team event. In the 25M Rapid Fire Pistol Men event Vijay Kumar, Neeraj Kumar and Akshay Ashtaputre won the team bronze medal.

India is now at number 3 in the medal tally with 15 Gold and 10 each of Silver and Bronze. The medal tally is led by Korea with 49 medals (G=16, S=18, B=15) and China is at no 2 with 37 medals (G=16, S=12, B=9). The total medals decided in the championship are 168 (56 each of G, S & B) so far.
