After bowing out in the first round itself, there is some bad news for Indian badminton fans as star badminton player has been hospitalized due to injury in her leg. She lost to Ukrainian, Maria in straight sets which was a big setback for Indian contingent. She was tipped to a medal in this year’s Olympics after a bronze medal in London Olympics 2012.

An MRI scan was also conducted, but her father refused to open up about the results of the same. “The doctors have not revealed the contents of the MRI scan to me. I will be able to talk about it tomorrow, not today,” he added. Saina will be travelling to Mumbai for further check-ups.

She suffered injury 10 days before Rio Olympics. Her father, Harvir Singh, said, “Saina has been hospitalized for the last two days and is undergoing treatment for her injury, which got worse during her match against Maria at Rio Olympics.”

Sindhu has been in great form and if he plays in the same manner, she can win the gold medal against Marin.

Saina expected to perform well in the Rio Olympics but she gave statements that the Indian ace player was playing with an injury and had immeflentation pad on her injured knee. The doctor had checked her after the first game and was suffering dexamentshone after being examined by IOC doctors.
