No one in the WWE has an illustrated career such as John Cena does. He has been in some tremendous supported as well as hostile situations and quite convincingly every time managed to come out of that, matching his “Hustle, Loyalty, Respect” and “Never Give Up” motto. That’s why we can often hear JBL saying in the commentary “No one has the nag to win big matches like John Cena does.”

WWE.com has listed his hardest fought victories as a top 10 list highlighting some of the toughest matches his career.

If you see height and weight, John Cena managed to defeat Umaga by a quick roll up early in his career which seemed impossible.

It seemed John Cena’s career is nowhere in 2010 when The Nexus was formed and forced John Cena to quit WWE, but he punished almost everybody in the group and demolished the faction almost single handedly.

Batista became a nemesis for him at one time in 2010 as Vince forced him to defend his title immediately after winning it in the Elimination Chamber against Batista. Since that Batista haunted him for the title. But he punished Batista so much at Over the Limit that he had no quit WWE thereafter.

The Rock should be a special mention here as the defeat at Wrestlemania 28 made Cena’s life hell after that. He was even divorced in personal life after that. Despite every odds, he overcame Rock at next year’s Wrestlemania and that too for the WWE title.

Edge had made his career by defeating Cena for the WWE title. No one personally had caused Cena so much. Edge even slapped on Cena’s father’s face. Cena went to the hostile territory of Edge’s hometown of Toronto and put him through two tables in Edge’s favorite TLC match to end one of the greatest rivalries of all time.
