WWE: Jonathon Coachman Hints A Return To WWE TV

Those who are fans of the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era in the WWE must be familiar with ‘the coach.’ We are talking about Jonathon Coachman, who first appeared as a backstage interviewer. But, with his growing popularity, he made it to the commentary table as well as the host and thereby the general Manager of Monday night Raw. He was an integral part of WWE TV programming at that time.

His contract got expired in 2008 and he decided to part ways with the company. Since then, he is an employee of ESPN and hosting the “Off the top rope” segment in the ESPN SportsCenter. The segment deals with the WWE news and fall-outs where Coach interviews several WWE Superstars on weekly basis.

The Coach was asked by a WWE fan in Twitter on whether he’ll return to television programming in future and he gave a positive answer. Coach clarified that some serious talking is going on to get him back on the WWE programming.

WWE has made it a tradition to host pre-show or kick off show panels before Raw, Smackdown or the PPVs. So, a veteran like the Coach who has great fan following will be appreciated.

WWE and ESPN have a tie up to cater WWE programming to mainstream audiences. Hence, Coach appeared on Monday Night Raw prior to this year’s Wrestlemania to announce that ESPN will be broadcasting live cut-ins for the entire night. This drew more viewers for Wrestlemania 32.
