Neville’s injury on Monday Night Raw came as a shocker to the fans and the WWE officials as this turned out to be a big blow for the Creative. After Neville was carried backstage with the help from the officials, WWE also confirmed the news of the man that gravity forgot who had indeed hurt himself in his match against Chris Jericho.
The incident took place when Neville attempted to do a baseball slide between the two legs of Jericho in between the match and ended up tweaking his ankle in a very unusual way while executing the move.

WWE’s Dr. Chris Amann revealed on the WWE website “Neville sustained a left ankle injury on a baseball slide during his match with Chris Jericho. Initial X-rays reveal a fracture of the ankle. He will undergo further imaging today to determine the extent of the fracture and to determine if surgery will be necessary.”

Wrestling Observer also noted that the high-flying Superstar may have suffered a broken ankle and shinbone, which will cost him the grandest pay-per-view of the year i.e. Wrestlemania and he may not compete in the event. Neville was said to be booked in a multi-man match against Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and the rest of the roster for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Overwhelmed by the love and support. Thank you all.

Neville’s injury was seemingly legit on the spot by the looks of it, he could not put any weight on either of his legs. He now joins the never-ending list of the superstars who have been inactive due to injuries from last year. Neville’s dream of competing in the mega event and perhaps becoming the Intercontinental champion has gone down the drain. We wish Neville a speedy recovery and come back to the ring as soon as possible.
