Seth Rollins had a successful surgery this week and started his rehabilitation to in the process of making his return. He will be sidelined for 6-9 months in the course of his healthy recovery.
His injury caused a major setback for WWE. The writers had to write the storylines all over again. He was speculated to drop the title against Roman Reigns at Survivor Series and then go on to feud against none other than his mentor Triple H.
Now that all these plans have been cancelled, Cagesideseats are reporting that Rollins will return as a babyface and will relieve his canned feud with Triple H at next year’s Summerslam.
From Storyline perspective, it sounds great for the fans. Because they would love to see him as a babyface and his much-anticipated feud with Triple H. But Triple H’s Wrestlemania plans looks in jeopardy as of now because the two opponents whom he was planned to face will not be available at the Dallas mega show.
Rollins is out of injury whereas The Rock will not compete due to some insurance problems. So if reports are true The COO of the company will not wrestle in the show after a long time. He has been one of the most consistent performers in the grandest stage of them all. But the most likely option for him now is to wait for the return for his protégé and make the feud successful at next year’s Summerslam.
